RULES GOVERNING NOMINATIONS

1.

The nominations for all the awards are open to all Local Government Units only. The levels are the following; PROVINCE, HUCs, CC, and MUNICIPALITIES.

For continuing programs and projects, a major portion of the activity should have taken place during the coverage of January 2024 – December 2024 ONLY and should be strictly ONLY 1 LGU ENTRY PER CATEGORY.

The nominee must make an account and fill up the information relative to the category in the website atopawards.ph/tourism-pearl-awards.

4.

The bid is the method by which documentary and supporting evidence of the project, program, activity, or individual/group’s achievements (relative to the category) are presented to the judges. Supporting materials may include photos, newspaper articles, brochures, etc. However, on 2024 onwards, bid will be made electronically (in pdf) and be uploaded on the website with their respective attachments. There should be no discrepancies of the information in the nomination forms and the electronic bids.

Entries of the LGUs should be uploaded in the ATOP Official website starting on JUNE 15, 2025 and will end on or before 12 midnight of JULY 15, 2025. Entries should accomplish the executive summary for the entries followed by the actual content then the necessary attachments and the LCE endorsement. All electronic bids submitted
will not be returned and will be considered property of ATOP

The virtual bid should be accompanied by a 3‐5minute audio-visual presentation specific for the award category. The LGUs general promotion presentation is not acceptable.

7.

Preliminary judging will commence on July 20, 2025 to August 20, 2025. After which the judges will decide on the Top 3 entries that will be moving on to the ATOP Pearl Awards Online defense which will start on August 25 to September 15, 2025. Final deliberation of the ATOP Ranking will be on September 16, 2025. Some categories might have an ONLINE DEFENSE or a FACE TO FACE DEFENSE. Meanwhile, there will be NO FINAL defense for Best Tourism Promotions Video and Brochure as well as the Best Tourism Souvenirs (Non-Food).

8.

In the preliminary round, the judges will use a RANKING point system to determine the final ranking. In the final round, a ranking system will be used to determine the placement.

9.

In case ONLY 1 will qualify for ANY awards in the final round, hence, no ranking will be made he / she /they will receive a CITATION certificate. However, the finalist shall still undergo final deliberations.

Judges decision is Final and irrevocable.
